Fall is upon us and the days are getting shorter. The hours for the remainder of the season will be 9am until the last tee time at 5pm. Keep in mind that frost will delay opening when we have it. We just had one of the nicest Columbus Day weekend we've ever seen. Three days in the 80's, we don't see that very often in October.

Merriland Farm Par 3 is now on Facebook and Twitter for those of you that are into that. Become a fan on facebook and follow us on twitter. We will use this to let you know about events, special deals and opening dates. My fishing charter business, Don's First Light, has a new web site. You can check it out at www.donsfirstlight.com. See our links page.

On October 6th Judy Wood aced the 6th hole with her

friends Anita, Beth and Kathy watching. Nice shot Judy!

She is our latest hole in one club member.

Dwarf crabapple in full bloom next to the putting green.

First hole in one of the season can from Don Dery on the first hole.

He should have quit then because he isn't going to get any better

than that. Nice shot Don, now we need to work on the hat.

Willie White, a christmas tree farmer from Topeka Kansas, aced the 5th hole today July 22. Willie has a great golf history, it was rumored that Willie played with Charles Curtis, the 31st Vice President of the United States. However, behind him stands 7 outstanding members of the community that will swear that it was his first straight shot. Nevertheless, congrats on the great shot.

We have two Indigo Buntings hanging around the course this year.
